Qui vengono accolti dalle marching band che sfilano a Bourbon Street, si lasciano sedurre dai bluesmen nei juke joints, si meravigliano di fronte ai pianisti di ragtime e stride nelle feste aristocratiche del centro, e si commuovono ascoltando il gospel delle chiese dove qualcuno, si dice, abbia &#8220;visto la luce&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c8 l\u2019inizio di un\u2019avventura che, tra treni fischianti e strade polverose, ci porta da New Orleans a Chicago, toccando i luoghi mitici dove il jazz ha mosso i suoi primi passi, fino ad arrivare a New York e poi in Europa. E infine di nuovo in Italia, tra gli anni Venti e Trenta, dove questa musica trasformer\u00e0 per sempre i canoni della canzone leggera, portandovi swing, libert\u00e0 e nuove sonorit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ad accompagnarci in questo percorso, la <strong>Tiger Dixie Band<\/strong>, una delle rare formazioni internazionali che si dedica con passione al recupero del jazz degli &#8220;anni ruggenti&#8221;. Con un approccio originale e attuale, la band rievoca le atmosfere del Dixieland, del Chicago Style, del Charleston e del Ragtime, nel pieno rispetto del timbro e dello spirito originario \u2014 anche grazie all\u2019uso di strumenti d\u2019epoca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alla base della proposta artistica della Tiger Dixie Band c\u2019\u00e8 la convinzione che la musica dei pionieri del jazz abbia la stessa dignit\u00e0 delle correnti successive. Una musica viva, vitale, ancora capace di emozionare e sorprendere, ben lontana da ogni sterile esercizio di stile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Formazione:<\/strong><br>PAOLO TRETTEL \u2013 tromba<br>FIORENZO ZENI \u2013 sassofono<br>LUIGI GRATA \u2013 trombone<br>ANDREA BOSCHETTI \u2013 banjo<br>GIORGIO BEBERI \u2013 sax basso<br>DANIELE PATTON \u2013 batteria<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Loving Tribute to the Roots of Jazz<\/strong><br>An imaginary journey into the heart of early jazz\u2014Dixieland\u2014through evocative sounds and syncopated rhythms, paying homage to legendary figures and telling the story of young Italian immigrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 1910s, these wide-eyed dreamers\u2014often classically or folk-trained musicians\u2014arrived in New Orleans, the most cosmopolitan city of the time. They were greeted by marching bands parading down Bourbon Street, mesmerized by blues guitarists singing of lost love in juke joints, amazed by pianists playing ragtime and stride at lavish downtown parties, and moved by the gospel singers who filled the churches, where some, it\u2019s said, &#8220;saw the light.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the beginning of a journey that winds through whistling trains and dusty roads, from New Orleans to Chicago, celebrating the legendary places where jazz took its first steps. Then it&#8217;s on to New York and across the Atlantic to Europe, finally returning to Italy in the late 1920s and early \u201930s, where this music forever changed the landscape of Italian popular song\u2014enriching it with swing and jazz-infused sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guiding us on this journey is the <strong>Tiger Dixie Band<\/strong>, one of the few ensembles internationally dedicated to the systematic revival of \u201cRoaring Twenties\u201d jazz. With a fresh and original approach, the group faithfully captures the atmosphere of Dixieland, Chicago Style, Charleston, and Ragtime\u2014respecting the original timbres and spirit, also thanks to the use of authentic period instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of the Tiger Dixie Band\u2019s projects is the belief that the music of the early jazz giants deserves equal recognition alongside other jazz styles.
