Un viaggio musicale attraverso i tempi e i luoghi del Jazz tradizionale. Così come proposto nell’omonimo lavoro discografico, i brani vengono presentati in una serie di quadri dedicati ad alcuni dei numi tutelari di questa musica, con particolare attenzione verso quei musicisti di origine italiana che hanno contribuito a renderla grande. La lettura di un racconto di Andrea Manfredi (che narra la storia di un emigrante italiano che entra in contatto che alcune di queste figure storiche) fa da filo conduttore. Il tutto è incorniciato da una serie di suoni di navi, treni ed ambientazioni sonore che restituiscono un’immagine cinematografica alla performance.

A musical journey through the times and places of traditional jazz. As presented in the eponymous album, the pieces are showcased in a series of musical portraits dedicated to some of the key figures in this genre, with particular attention given to those Italian musicians who helped make it great. The narrative thread is provided by a story by Andrea Manfredi, which tells the tale of an Italian emigrant who encounters some of these historical figures. The entire experience is framed by a series of sounds of ships, trains, and atmospheric soundscapes, giving the performance a cinematic quality.
