“Yellow Submarine, omaggio ai Beatles”

Dopo aver “esplorato” i territori musicali tipici del dixieland, la Tiger Dixie Band da vita ad un progetto assolutamente innovativo, che trae spunto dalla consolidata tradizione jazzistica (secondo la quale era prassi quella di “adattare” alle varie formazioni brani dalle origini più disparate e lontane tra loro); in questo nuovo programma il gruppo si “cuce addosso“(quasi fossero vestiti su misura) le melodie più importanti del famosissimo quartetto di Liverpool, rappresentando la miglior commistione possibile tra i brani più famosi pensati per le tipiche sonorità beat del gruppo che ha fatto impazzire il mondo ed i pezzi meno conosciuti (ma non per questo meno importanti) nei quali i quattro “scarafaggi” hanno provveduto – antesignani di tutte le operazioni di “recupero” – a scavare nelle migliori tradizioni dixie. Il programma comprende brani quali Lady Madonna, All my loving, Can’t Bue Me Love, Yellow Submarine, I’ve Just Seen A Face, Lovely Rita, Penny Lane e molti altri.

“Yellow Submarine: A Tribute to the Beatles”

After having “explored” the musical landscapes of traditional Dixieland, the Tiger Dixie Band brings to life an entirely innovative project. It draws inspiration from the well-established jazz tradition, in which it was common practice to “adapt” pieces of music—often from vastly different and unrelated origins—to fit various ensembles. In this new program, the group “tailors to itself” (as if custom-made suits) some of the most iconic melodies from the legendary Liverpool quartet. The result is a seamless blend between the Beatles’ most famous songs—originally conceived for the band’s signature beat sound that swept the world—and lesser-known (yet equally important) tracks in which the “Fab Four” themselves, pioneers of musical revival, delved into the rich roots of Dixie tradition. The setlist includes titles such as Lady Madonna, All My Loving, Can’t Buy Me Love, Yellow Submarine, I’ve Just Seen a Face, Lovely Rita, Penny Lane, and many more.
